Title: Accelerated learning
1Accelerated learning
2Accelerated learning is a collective term for a
series of practical approaches to learning. In
many ways it is simply an explanation of the way
in which you learn, the logic being that if you
understand how information gets into your head
you will be able to speed up individual parts of
that process and so learn faster.
3Accelerated learning is a comprehensive approach
to school change, developed in 1986 at Stanford
University. Accelerated learning aims to create
school success for all students by closing the
achievement gap between at-risk and mainstream
children. The idea is to radically change
individual schools by redesigning and integrating
curricular, instructional, and organizational
practices so that they provide enrichmentnot
just remediationfor at-risk students.
4Learning makes learning an enjoyable, successful
and satisfying experience. More has been
discovered about how the human brain works in the
last 25 years than in all history to date. The
Accelerated Learning Method is based on that
research.
