ORAL HYGIENE
2
TEETH CLEANING
  • Teeth cleaning is part of oral hygiene and
involves the removal of dental plaque from teeth
to prevent cavities., gingivitis, and periodontal
disease. People routinely clean their own teeth
by brushing and interdental cleaning, and dental
hygienists can remove hardened deposits not
removed by routine cleaning. Those with dentures
and natural teeth may supplement their cleaning
    with a denture cleaner.

3
TEETH POLISHING
  • Tooth polishing is the act of smoothing the tooth
surface. The use of polishing is to make it
difficult for plaque to accumulate on the tooth
surface area. Tooth polishing is normally the
final stage of the dental cleaning and scaling,
along with certain other processes. This process
removes the stains and polishes and smooths the
    tooth surface.

4
FLOSSING
  • Dental floss is a cord of thin filaments used to
remove food and dental plaque from between teeth
in areas a toothbrush is unable to reach. As the
build-up of plaque in interproximal areas is the
primary cause of dental disease, such as
gingivitis and dental caries, the use of floss is
commonly recommended in order to prevent these
    conditions from developing.

5
INTERDENTAL BRUSHES
  • This kind of brush have bristled small heads that
are especially aimed to clean the spaces among
your teeth. They are disposable and are supplied
with a reusable angled plastic handle. To use an
interdental brush, softly push it back and forth
between your teeth along your gum line, but do
not force it, as it can damage your gums.

6
ORAL IRRIGATION
  • An oral irrigator has a small reservoir that has
to be filled with water. The latest type usually
use electricity to function with a switch to set
the power at the preferred strength. Most
irrigators work at a speed of 1600 pulse per
minute and omit ultrasonic pulse in your mouth
and the teeth to beat the bacteria and the
    plaque.
