Title: Self Help Through Creativity

1
Self Help to Stop Drinking
Indeed, I joked to myself that I was somewhat
surprised that the sales of self-help e-books
were up, because no one believes in helping
themselves anymore, rather they are relying on
the government to help them! No one seems to want
to go out and learn how to fish anymore, they'd
rather sit at home and get food stamps from the
government. No one wants to work hard and work
their way through school, they'd rather get a
student loan guaranteed by the government, even
if they cannot pay it back, and if not so what.
Socialist leaning governments often work very
hard at convincing people they are going to give
them everything that they want. The unfortunate
reality of course is that any government that is
large enough to give you everything that you want
and desire is also big enough to take away
everything you already have starting with your
old self-esteem and individuality first, then any
material possession. In fact, it's kind of
mandatory that you give up self for the whole,
because if you don't you won't get in lockstep
and follow their lead, which is what they need
you to do to continue to stay in power.

With all this known, perhaps it makes sense that
suicide rates are up, and that when people look
in the mirror they don't like themselves anymore,
or value self. This might be why they are still
engaging in finding uplifting material online, or
in books to read. I imagine DVDs from the top
self-help gurus are up along with visits to
psychologists, various pharmaceuticals, and more
self-validation posts on Facebook - all up.
Further, I bet more people are getting back to
the religion and church as a way to uplift their
psyche to deal with the onslaught of turmoil,
chaos, personal economics, and contrived
controversy of politics that has been embedded in
their lives, in American life. Perhaps it's time
that all of us online article authors produce
more content to help promote positive attitudes.
Maybe we can help people help themselves again.
Please consider all this and think on it.

A few short years ago, for many people, the word
'essentials' may have meant a luxury home filled
with designer gear and high-tech toys to go with
expensive facials and spiritual indulgence.
Advertisers told us we deserved it and we were
worth it. With more than a little encouragement
from so called self-help gurus, we were also led
to believe that we could have it all - just by
thinking about it. Fast forward to now and we're
all paying for it. The ongoing global recession
has caused many of us to take a long, hard look
at our lives and focus on the true essentials in
life. Gone are the unrealistic expectations that
we can all be pretty, rich and famous. Gone too,
are the personal development posers who had
jumped on the bandwagon of an economic boom to
con gullible people out of their money for what
was basically giving common sense advice.

The credit crunch seems to have squeezed the life
out of the self-help industry and I, for one,
think this is a good thing. Being an avid reader
and owner of dozens of personal development
manuals, I'd become increasingly bewildered by
the wordy, confusing and pseudo-scientific
claptrap that was becoming the norm. Having spent
a considerable amount of money, and reading
energy, on various self improvement books, to the
point that The Miracle Farm Blueprint my head was
cluttered with psycho-babble jargon, I came to
realise that this self help overload was actually
preventing me from experiencing the changes I
needed. When I was faced with what appeared to be
an impossible situation, or emotional challenge,
I would instinctively reach for a self help
manual, seeking help and guidance. The sad fact
is that more often than not these personal
development products and their pompous, pious and
patronising tones and conflicting messages left
me feeling cold, confused and certainly none the
wiser. http//innertradingcirclereviews.co/the-mi
