Solution Architecture for Satellite Mode
The Satellite delivery mechanism can be replaced
by either Cable or IP delivery as well MAYA
IRD Content Distribution Server (Pitcher)
MAYA IRD is a DVB-S/S2/C Receiver with Broadband
Connectivity. Maya IRDs has multiple inputs like
Compressed Digital in, Un-Compressed SDI and
multiple outputs like A/V Analog out, SDI out,
HDMI and Component out. Receives and decodes
input of Satellite broadcast, schedules, and
Video overlay signals. Maya IRDs are full HD
enabled.
Content Distribution Server is an asset
distribution solution which is meant to deliver
assets accurately and efficiently. The CDS comes
with features like FEC, authentication,
encryption, varied channel support, multiple
channel support, file scheduling etc to ensure a
reliable and efficient distribution of assets.
CDS can work on various transmission mediums like
internet, leased lines, satellite communication
etc. CDS can act either a source or destination
for asset transfer.
MEE (Maya Data Injection Carousel)
MAYA Cloud Portal
The MEE (Media Execution Engine) SERVER is a data
injecting server which is responsible for
injecting data into SPTS/MPTS. MEE accepts
MPTS/SPTS on multi-cast udp from Encoder
(VBR/CBR) and private data from coming from Maya
Dashboard Application or pitcher converts the
private data into TS packets and injects into
existing service or creates a new service. TS out
from the MEE passed to the Mux for transmission.
