    day starts after the sunset.
  • The start of the Ramadan month is determined on
    the sighting of the Crescent New Moon.

Month of Fasting

    mandatory for all the adult Muslims, during the
    month of Ramadan.
  • Pregnant womens, breastfeeding womens,
    diabetic, travelers and females in menses are
    exempted from fasting.

  • Muslims fast from dawn to dusk , during the
    fasting hrs, they are not allowed to drink , eat,
    smoke, and they have to refrain from sex and
    abusive language.
  • There are penalties set by law if they break any
    of these things.

Month for Praying and reading Quran

    offer more prayers.
  • They also have to read more Quran then they do in
    their normal life.

    which helps them to complete the reading of Quran

    so they can get the message.

Month for Charity

  • Every Muslim falls under the law of Zakat which
    they have to follow every month.
  • Everry Muslim has to pay certain amount of their
    income to poor, it is known as Zakat amd it is
    mandatory.

  • During the month of Ramadan they can also do
    voluntary charity which is known as Sadaqah.
  • It means they can give food to the Muslims to
    break their fast. People doing Sadaqah get high
    rewards on the Judgment Day.

Shawwal

  • The Ramadan month ends when the new crescent moon
    is seen and Shawwal month starts.
  • If the new moon is not seen, due to weather
    conditions, then after 30 days the Sawwal month
    starts.
  • On the first day of Sawwal, Eid el fitre is
    celebrated.
