Representation under this benefit is provided
when the member has a valid drivers license and
is driving a properly licensed motor vehicle.
Pre-existing conditions, charges of DUI/DWI
related matters, drug-related matters,
hit-and-run related charges, leaving the scene of
an accident, and unmeritorious cases are
excluded. Commercial vehicles with more than two
axles are not covered. Drivers license and
personal injury/property damage recovery
assistance is limited to two and one-half (2-1/2)
hours of lawyer time per claim, does not include
the filing of a lawsuit, and excludes personal
injury and property claims exceeding 2,000.

Matters not covered under Plan benefits and which
you may use your preferred member rate for
services are Dependents (covers member and
spouse only), Bankruptcy, divorce, separation,
annulment, child custody or other divorce or
domestic-related matters, Charges of DUI/DWI,
drug-related matters (whether prescribed or not),
hit-and-run, leaving the scene of an accident,
and civil or criminal charges occurring as a
result of operating a commercial vehicle with
more than two axles, Plan benefits apply only to
charges of job-related criminal actions. Benefits
do not cover instances in which you are named in
a civil lawsuit or have criminal charges filed
against you because you are listed as an owner,
manager or associate of the business and you had
no direct involvement with the act or matter that
gave rise to the lawsuit or criminal charge,
Lawsuits filed because of something that occurred
prior to your enrollment or because of conditions
that were reasonably anticipated or foreseeable
prior to your enrollment (even if the lawsuit is
filed after you become a member), Class actions,
interventions or amicus curiae filings in which
the covered member is a party (or potential
party), Garnishment, attachment or any other
appeal, Claims, defenses, or legal positions
which your Provider Law Firm determines will not
prevail in court or are frivolous or without
merit.

IRS Tax Audit Legal Services
  • One hour of consultation, advice or assistance
    when you are notified of an audit by the IRS
  • An additional 2.5 hours if a settlement is not
    achieved within 30 days
  • If your case goes to court, youll receive 46.5
    hours of your Provider Law Firms services
  • Coverage for this service begins with the tax
    return due April 15 of the year you enroll

Coverage includes the return due on April 15th of
the first membership year. Does not cover
garnishment, attachment or any other appeal,
class actions, interventions or amicus curiae
filings, charges of tax fraud or income tax
evasions, Trust returns, business and/or
corporate tax returns, payroll and information
returns, partnerships, corporation returns or
portions thereof that are included in the
members tax returns, pre-existing
conditionswhere member has been notified by the
IRS prior to enrollment, and services rendered by
an enrolled agent.

Preferred Member Discount
  • Your Provider Law Firm will render assistance at
    the preferred rate for legal services not
    specifically covered by the benefits of the
    membership. Even pre-existing matters can be
    covered under this portion of the plan!
  • If you own a business and wish representation for
    the entity, you will receive a preferred rate of
    25 less the Provider Law Firms corporate hourly
    rate.
  • Five business days advance notice is required for
    preparation in court representation.
  • Hourly rates for Referral Lawyers and court
    appearances may vary.

expected an employee benefit as major medical
insurance or group life. In the next few
years, prepaid legal services may well
emerge from being a novelty to becoming
another accepted form of insurance the average
American expects.

  • In a decision that has privacy advocates and
    others scratching their heads, a federal judge
    has ruled that LifeLock has been
    breaking California law for years by placing
    fraud alerts on its customers credit profiles.
  • The decision is a blow to the burgeoning
    identify-theft protection industry, and means
    that companies that experience data breaches may
    no longer be able to offer victims free
    subscriptions to such services a standard
    damage-control tactic in recent years. Consumers
    can still place fraud alerts by contacting one of
    the three U.S. credit reporting agencies
    directly.
  • Bo Holland, founder and CEO of Debix, a
    competitor of LifeLock, called the ruling
    dramatic and unexpected.
  • It causes a real shift in the industry, he told
    Threat Level.
  • The pre-trial partial summary judgment comes in a
    lawsuit filed last year against LifeLock by
    Experian, one of the nations three credit
    reporting bureaus. Experian claimed LifeLock is
    trying to game the system of fraud alerts to
    make a profit.
  • LifeLock, a controversial company that gained
    notoriety for publishing its CEOs Social
    Security number in advertisements , charges 120
    a year to consumers to place fraud alerts on
    their credit profiles, among other services. The
    company also offers a 1 million guarantee to
    reimburse the expenses of any customer who
    suffers losses from identity theft while
    subscribed to LifeLock.

The headlines tell a story of gloom and doom as
the world faces one of the greatest financial
challenges since the 1930s. Weve all read the
news. Giants of commerce seem to be teetering.
Many organizations large and small now find
themselves between a rock (lower sales) and a
hard place (business costs). Everywhere, people
are feeling the pinch. From Wall Street to Main
Street, people are worried about jobs, benefits
and financial security the future. Yet,
economists, historians, and grandparents who
lived through the Great Depression remind us that
society has survived and overcome financial
difficulties. Legals Unique AdvantagesThe good
news is that, despite the dark clouds of economic
uncertainty, leading brokers are finding a silver
lining of opportunity by providing best in class
financial products and services. They are helping
employers and employees overcome todays
challenges and move purposefully and confidently
into the future. This is especially true for
brokers who offer voluntary products, such as
legal plans placing themselves in a favorable
position with current and prospective
clients. Employers are always looking for
cost-effective ways to manage business expenses.
Yet, they also recognize the importance of
providing value-added employee benefits. The two
strategies can work together to help keep the
business moving forward. While managing costs is
clearly important, savvy employers dont lose
sight of their most valuable natural resource
the men and women who comprise their workforce.
Cost-conscious employers are employing the
cost-saving strategy of passing along benefit
costs to employees. At the same time, they are
choosing to offer legal plans or other
value-added voluntary benefits that help
employees address personal needs and objectives
keeping things in balance for all concerned.
According to recent studies from UNUM and
MetLife, more than half of U.S. employers offer
at least one voluntary benefit to which tens of
millions of American workers have access through
their jobs. Recent studies have shown that
Americans concerned about work and financial
stability are placing increased personal value
in having adequate benefit protection for
themselves and their families. Furthermore, they
appear to be willing to pay for voluntary
benefits that supplement their standard
employer-sponsored benefits. While some consumers
might perceive legal services, in general, as
inaccessible and unaffordable, a Russell Research
study (Legal Needs of Todays Multi-Generational
Workforce) showed that a majority of Americans
see legal plans as a valuable employee benefit to
help them deal with personal legal needs, ranging
from financial and family to home and
automobile-related matters. One of the hard facts
of life that people are now learning is that
legal needs arise regardless of having coverage
or ability to pay. The Russell Study reported
that only one-fifth of Americans have a plan for
covering legal expenses that may arise. Nearly
two-fifths dont have a plan and another
two-fifths would have to find a way to cover
legal expenses. The study also showed that seven
out of 10 people (67 percent) experienced one or
more legal life events in the past 12 months
while nine out of 10 (88 percent) were concerned
about one or more financial or legal matters.
