FLUSH VALVE
The handle, when pressed, pushes the operating
stem against the auxiliary valve stem. This tilts
the auxiliary valve draining the upper chamber.
Total force of the water in the upper chamber
holds the valve closed because the surface area
of the diaphragm in the upper chamber is greater
than the area of the lower chamber.
Lower Chamber
Control Stop
When the valve is at rest, both the upper chamber
and the lower chamber are filled with water at
supply line pressure.

2
The handle, when pressed, pushes the operating
stem against the auxiliary valve stem. This tilts
the auxiliary valve draining the upper chamber.
3
When water is drained from the upper chamber the
total force of the water in the lower chamber
lifts the diaphragm.
The diaphragm will continue to rise until the
auxiliary valve comes into contact with the
regulating screw.
Flushing continues until enough water enters the
upper chamber through the bypass orifice.
When sufficient water enters the upper chamber,
total force closes the valve.
