  • IMG Academies is located on a 300-acre
    campus in
    Bradenton, Florida just north
    of Sarasota, one
    hour south of Tampa on
    Floridas Gulf Coast.

Divisions IMG Academies annually attracts
approximately 12,000 junior, collegiate, adult
and professional athletes (including a growing
number of families and corporate groups) of all
ages and ability levels, from over 80 countries.

  • 2007 Sport Highlights
  • NBTA alumni had strong showings at the 2007 Grand
    Slams. Maria Sharapova advanced to the womens
    singles final of the Australian Open and the
    semifinals of the French Open Tommy Haas
    advanced to the mens semifinals at the
    Australian Open and to the quarterfinals of the
    U.S. Open Nicole Vaidisova reached the womens
    singles semifinals at the Australian Open and the
    womens singles quarterfinals at the French Open
    and Wimbledon Jelena Jankovic reached the
    womens singles semifinals at the French Open and
    the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Serena
    Williams won the womens singles championship at
    the Australian Open and made quarterfinals at the
    French Open, Wimbledon, and the U.S. Open and
    Venus Williams won the womens singles
    championship at Wimbledon and advanced to the
    semifinals of the U.S. Open. NBTA student Kei
    Nishikori won the boys singles title at the
    Luxilon Cup. 1700 players participated in the
    2007 Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis
    Championships held on campus in November.
  • DLGA Bradenton students won over 50 national
    junior titles in 2007, including 12 AJGA
    All-Americans, 3 members of the 2007 Junior
    Solheim Cup Team, Boys AJGA/Rolex Player of the
    Year, 34 FCWT wins (older division), 10
    Independent tournament wins, 3 IJGT wins (older
    division), and 7 AJGA wins. DLGA alumna Paula
    Creamer won the 2007 LPGA SBS Open at Turtle Bay.
    Fellow DLGA alumna Taylor Leon turned pro in June
    of 2007, became the 2007 Duramed Futures Tour
    CIGNA Golf Classic champion, and received her
    2008 LPGA conditional card. DLGA alumna Carolina
    Llano qualified for the 2008 LPGA tour. DLGA
    student Peter Uihlein has been named the AJGA
    Rolex Junior Player of the Year for the second
    time.

  • Basketball Academy student Jared Swopshire
    committed to play for the University of
    Louisville while student Kenny Kadji has
    committed to play for the University of Florida.
    Alumnus Renaldo Balkman had a promising season
    with the New York Knicks, averaging 15.6 minutes,
    4.9 points, and 4.3 rebounds in the 68 games in
    which he played.
  • Soccer Academy teams claimed several titles in
    2007. The Boys U19 and U18 teams won the
    prestigious Tampa Bay Sun Bowl, while U-19 Boys
    also won the 2007 Dallas Cup. The U-18 Girls have
    been ranked 1 in the nation by
    NationalSoccerRanking.com. Alumnus Michael
    Parkhurst has been named 2007 MLS Defender of the
    Year and won the Fair Play award. The U18 Boys
    team went 2-0-1 in the 2007 Nike Friendlies.
  • Baseball Academy student Tyler Pastornicky signed
    a National Letter of Intent to play for Florida
    State University student Kyle Allen signed a
    national letter of intent to play for North
    Carolina State University. Over 145 college
    athletes participated in the 2007 Florida
    Collegiate Instructional League (FCIL). Sports
    Illustrated for Kids voted The Baseball Academy
    as the top junior baseball camp.
  • IMG Academies fulltime enrollment reached over
    750 students from over 65 different countries for
    the 2007 Fall Semester.
