Tea Camellia sinensis The British are the
worlds biggest tea drinkers, sipping some 70
billion cups annually. Contrary to some
stories, tea contains less caffeine than
coffee. Europeans knew that tea was native to
China, but it wasnt until the 1830s that they
officially discovered a variety in Assam too.
