49
4. Conclusion
  • Rita Kurl, ICT- learn 2004, The third
    International Internet Education Conference,
    Cairo Egypt, states
  • Egyptian Teachers have overcome Cultural
Barriers for Creating, Exchanging, and Re-using
    Digital Learning Objects

50
4. Conclusion
  • Case Study on Students
  • Fears
  • I may not be that good in self-study
  • I need interactive life explanation,
    communication, discussion and immediate response
  • It would be boring and sleepy to feel alone
    during the whole course

51
4. Conclusion
  • To E .. ?
  • or not to E .... ?
  • THAT is the Question!

52
4. Conclusion
  • Case Study on Students (cont.)
  • Advantages
  • Now, my relatively weak English is not that
stressful where I dont need interactive
    interpretation and live dialogs
  • I have plenty of time to read the session
materials and tutorials and not limited to 45
    minutes
  • In fact, I have interesting experience of
communicating with my classmates through course
bulletin board and/or personal Emails. This way
you can know people inside before you are
affected with the first impression of the people
    outside.
  • Im in control of my convenient time where I
often used to start my session after midnight.

53
  • Thank You
