The state in which one objects distance from
another is changing.
An object used for comparison to determine
motion.
We use meters. (kilometers, centimeters,
meters)
The distance an object travels in a unit of
time. Kilometers per hour, for example.
The speed of an object remains the same for
all of the time its in motion.
The mean speed of an object over a period of time.
Speed in a given direction.

Lab Activity
  • Look over the lab sheet.
  • Pick up your car and ruler.
  • Test your car for 30 cm, repeat this
  • 5 times.
  • Record the speed.
  • As a group, answer all of the questions.
