A mischievous little girl reveals all of her
misbehaviors (stapling her brother's hair, gluing
his slippers to the floor, freezing a fly in the
ice cube tray) in this splendidly illustrated
story that School Library Journal describes as
"just about picture-perfect" and a "winning
title." The unnamed girl's voice sounds innocent,
though her deeds are hilariously naughty. A
must-read for those seeking a few laughs with
engaging pictures.

Best friends, Tiffany Funcraft and Annabelle
Doll, find themselves accidentally carried away
in a stranger's backpack and brought into the
home of the feisty Princess Mimi. Tiffany and
Annabelle instantly sense something is not right
in the household. Believing that she truly is a
princess, the overpowering Mimi reigns over the
other dolls in the house--evoking fear wherever
she goes. When Tiffany and Annabelle attempt to
show the dolls that they need not be intimidated
by the ruthless Mimi, the tiny doll strikes back.
Kirkus says, "Wrapped in humor and adventure are
serious considerations of self-esteem, the power
of intimidation, and the nature of friendship."

The Golden Age of Pirates by Bob Temple
Remember the Choose Your Own Adventure books when
you were growing up? This is an updated version
based on historical events, so the students may
learn while having an adventure. Other titles
include books about Bunker Hill, the Titanic, and
the Underground Railroad.
The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
