What is a Road Speed Limiter ?

• A Road Speed Limiter (RSL) means a device whose
• primary function is to control the fuel feed to
  the engine,
• in order to limit the vehicle speed to a preset
  value.

As per ARAI standards, the tolerance for control
is 4. Auto Grade controls the vehicle precisely
at even 2.

Electronic Control Unit ( ECU )

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU) ECU is a
microprocessor based controlling device, which
constantly monitors the vehicle speed and sends
signals to the Control Unit accordingly.

FUEL CONTROL UNIT (FCU) FCU is a
solenoid valve mechanism, which will operate
according to the pulses from ECU for controlling
the fuel supply to the fuel pump from fuel filter.

SPEED SENSOR Speed sensor is a RPM generating
equipment fitted to the gearbox output, in
between gear output shaft and speedometer cable,
delivering rear axle RPM. ECU converts this RPM
in to Kmph data.

HAND HELD DEVICE A Handheld speed correction
device is provided to all dealers for calibrating
the equipment after fitment

ECU Manual RSL Manual RSL is used where speed
limiter law is not enforced. This device can be
switched OFF also, if not required.
