  • Work closely with your PTAC. Register in
    CCR. You will need DUNS number and CAGE Code.
    Select VAN for EDI as needed. Register with PRO-
    Net, BuyNet Connectory. Consider GSA schedule.
    Investigate SBA HUBZone, SDB or 8(a)
    eligibility. DVBEs and SBs should certify with
    CA DGS. See Caltrans for WBE, MBE or DBE
    certifications. Review FedBizOps and SubNet to
    get RFP, IFB or RFQ. Interpret FAR, FASA, DFAR
    and DEAR regarding Reps Certs, etc. Remember
    DoD likes buying COTS. Dont overlook FTR in your
    quote. Use IMPAC for CI using SAP. Never forget
    TINA during negotiations. Work closely with ACO,
    PCO or COTR and as necessary with DCMA, DFAS,
    DCAA, DTIC and DIS. Use FOIA for history and
    competitive information. Check eligibility for
    STTR and SBIR programs. Call SCORE or SBDC for
    general business assistance. See SBDC / SBA for
    loans. Invoice on WINS if possible. Get set for
    EFT.
