Elections 2010
3 young people will be elected to be Members of
Youth Parliament (MYPs) and be part of the
National UK Youth Parliament. 3 young people will
also be elected to be Deputy MYPs. So there
will be 1 MYP and 1 Deputy MYP elected to
represent young peoples views for each of these
areas Cheltenham / Tewkesbury Gloucester /
Forest Cotswolds / Stroud

Projects schools indicate interest in taking
part! (Polling Stations Candidates). Promotion
/ Publicity for the Elections in youth projects
schools in Information Packs. Youth workers
available to visit youth projects, youth forums
schools to raise awareness. NOVEMBER

Saturday, 14 November 2009 DECEMBER 2009 Wed,
9th Dec deadline for candidates to write a 100
word address. JANUARY 2010 Weds 13th / Thurs
14th Jan Ballot Boxes, ballot papers,
candidates information will be delivered to all
Polling Stations Mon 18th / Tues 19th / Weds 20th
Jan VOTING in all Polling Stations! Thurs 21st /
Fri 22nd Jan Ballot boxes votes will be
collected Mon 25th Jan Votes will be
counted! THE RESULTS EVENT Thurs 28th Jan,
6.308.30pm, Council Chamber, Shire Hall,
Gloucester. REMEMBER TO NOTE DATES IN DIARIES!
Elections 2009 There were 34 Polling Stations
across Gloucestershire enabling young people to
vote for who they wanted to represent them in
their area! 25 young people stood as
candidates. 10,255 young people voted in the
democratic process! 6 young people were elected
(3 MYPs and 3 Deputy MYPs) More information on
