Title: PLUTO

PLUTO
By Matthew H and Callum F
2Pluto is over three and a half billion miles (
5,913,520,000 km ) from the Sun.
3Pluto is the smallest planet in our solar system.
Pluto wasn't discovered by scientists until 1930.
4It takes almost 250 Earth years for Pluto to
revolve around the Sun. For 20 years (from 1979
to 1999) Pluto and Neptune crossed orbits. This
meant Pluto was closer to the Sun than Neptune .
5The surface is covered with rocks and frozen ice.
Pluto is like a rocky snowball in space. The
light from the Sun looks very dim from Pluto.
6Pluto is the only planet not yet visited or
viewed close-up by spacecraft. Photos from the
Hubble Telescope do not tell us much about the
planet.
