NETWORK?

• Similarities of public health challenges in
  African countries having the use of French in
  common.
• Low representation of African francophone
  countries in public health associations
  international meetings
• Need of sharing experiences for the strengthening
  of existing public health associations and
  stimulating the creation of new one.

The Scientific Commission

• Identify scientific framework of expression for
  the FAPHAN
• Coordinate the participation of members of FAPHAN
  at this framework in collaboration with the
  Bureau
• Propose research thematic as well as financing
  opportunities of research to members of FAPHAN
• Animate and coordinate research in FAPHAN 
• Identify framework of valorization of research
  results 
• Propose a plan of valorization of research
  results carried out by FAPHAN members 
• Report activities to the council Bureau.

WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM THE WFPHA TO OVERCOME
CHALLENGES

• A support in pledge to public health institutions
  or to countries capable of offering a
  complementary support to that of the CPHA
• A facilitation of contacts with institutions that
  can help in capacity development and
  communication.
