• HAN ADVISORY (THIS MESSAGE IS PART OF THE LAST
  CHANCE BRAVO DRILL/EXERCISE - PLEASE LOG RECEIPT
  AND PROCESSING OF THIS MESSAGE ON THE APPROPRIATE
  FORM)
• As many of you are aware, the early onset of WNV
  has severely impacted central and western
  Montana. To date, approximately 250 human cases
  have been reported in recent weeks from 15
  counties. DPHHS has been notified that several
  facilities in this area are at or above capacity
  and is impacting the normal transfer of patients.
  
• At this time we are asking local health agencies
  to share this information with providers and
  facilities in their area. Facilities are
  encouraged to consider alternatives to normal
  transfers. DPHHS is not requesting any
  information from health agencies or facilities at
  this time. We will continue to provide updates
  as the situation changes. For more information
  or clarification please contact the Epidemiology
  Program at 444-0273"

  Advisory Distributed in Coordination with the
  Last Chance One "Bravo" Exercise. Your
  organization's "response" to this, and subsequent
  messages, will depend on your jurisdiction's
  overall level of participation in the exercise

• The goal Montana's Health Alert Network is to
  transmit information to local public health
  authorities as quickly as possible, and assign a
  suitable priority to the message that is
  sensitive to the impact of a health-related event
  providing information of immediate of utility
  relative to the public health and safety of
  Montanans. For questions or comments relative to
  Montana's HAN system you may contact the Montana

sections in the EOC had several people staffing
it. Denise was the Section Chief.

Linda had several roles during the exercise, here
she is manning the Logistics Section and working
in Operations.

Operations was headed up by Todd with assistance
from the Lab, EPI, and a variety of others.

Evaluators were also a part of our drill, below
is Bill Campbell and Earl Hall

Briefings were done on a regular basis with all
the Section Chiefs

Food and sustenance provided. Earl Hall quoted
as saying an army marches on its stomach.
Dr. Wynia paid a visit to the EOC and shared
lunch with everyone.

Sanders Building, headed up by Gayle Shirley

with the planning section and we could observe
how visualization assists with information
management and decision making by providing real
time data.

DES Agency representative in our EOC.

A training tape is being developed with footage
taken at multiple exercise locations held June
20-24, 2005 and will be used to help train others
in the future.

DEBR IEFING FORTHARRISON
Opportunity to share what we learned and where we
can improve. Also a chance to meet other ICs,
Section Chiefs and other involved in the
exercises that were occurring throughout the week.

• There were a lot of DPHHS staff that made this
  exercise a success.
• Those who made sure the everyday work was
  completed need to be recognized as well as those
  who were at there desks taking calls and
  providing information back to the people in the
  EOC.
