• Christmas in Russia is celebrated on January 7th
• They eat potato soup with peas and rice.

Traditions

• People hand carve wood to make Santa Clause.
• On December 6th the Russians have a big feast.

• Hot roast piroge-it is pies which are made out
  of meat and cabbage.
• And another food is pelmeni meat dumplings.
• Kutya is eaten for a common dish to symbolize
  unity.

Colors

• White Blue and Red because thats the color of
  the flag.

Did you know.

• In Russia they call Santa Clause Father
  Christmas?
• Did you know in Russia the kids put there shoes
  in front of there door and get gifts from Santa?
• People run around in fancy cloths asking for
  favors.
