About Mr. Stein
  • Lived in the Bay Area for 6 years
  • Raised in Ohio, born in Virginia.
  • Taught at Oakland Tech High School in Oakland the
    past four years.
  • Have worked at Microsoft, IBM, and Accenture
    Consulting.
  • I enjoy backpacking, kayaking, cycling, and
    watching Netflix movies in my spare time.
  • The Ohio State Buckeyes are the best team in
    college football.

Class Rules
  • Give and expect respect.
  • On time means in your seat before the bell.
  • Computers are only to be used for class work
    during class time (except with permission).
  • Eating and grooming are done outside of
    classroom.
  • Headwear is okay if its not a problem.
  • Personal property will be turned off and packed
    away at all times (electronics, make-up etc.)

Class Procedures
  • Keeping files organized is important.
  • Monitors will be turned off unless given
    permission.
  • Bathroom visits, when allowed by the teacher, are
    limited.
  • If you are tardy, quietly take your seat and join
    the class activity.
  • Late work will not be accepted unless there are
    unusual circumstances.
  • There will be opportunities for extra credit.

  • Learn how to build cool web pages using
    Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash.
  • Improve your computer skills for school and the
    working world.
  • Prepare you for the Computer Animation II class.
  • Improve your scores on the CAHSEE exam.
  • Make the most of your mentor experience.

Being Prepared For Class
  • Pencil or pen
  • Binder (one-inch wide is best)
  • Bring Homework or other assignments
  • Questions about new material
  • Special materials
  • Get eight hours of sleep a night
  • Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Exercise at least a little bit every day
