  • Improved graduation rate to an all-time high of

  • Developed Student Learning Outcomes for most
    courses and incorporated the monitoring of the
    SLO assessment process into the faculty
    evaluation process.
  • Continued to support System Center-San Antonio.
  • Continued to support student participation in
    professional association meetings (IMA, AMA).

  • M.B.A. students competed successfully in the
    TAMUS Pathways Research Symposium for the first
    time.
  • Began development of graduate leveling courses to
    support KRIRM masters degree.
  • Continued development of SLOs.
  • Offering new scholarship for M.P.A. students.
  • Resuming publication of College newsletter CBA
    Today.
  • Began examination of degree programs for possible
    reduction in number of hours required.
  • Began work on 2006-2011 strategic plan.
  • Re-activated Delta Mu Delta honor society at both
    Kingsville and San Antonio.

Short-Term Goals2006-07
  • Meet 10 headcount enrollment increase target.
  • Complete development of 2006-2011 college
    strategic plan.
  • Refine SLOs for all degree programs and utilize
    information gained to improve performance.
  • Market M.B.A. and M.P.A. programs more widely.
  • Support the Universitys capital campaign
    activities.
  • Begin preparation for ACBSP accreditation
    reaffirmation.
  • Complete restructuring of undergraduate degree
    programs.
  • Continue to support System Center-San Antonio.

Transition to Implement Assurance of Learning(p.
65, AACSB Eligibility Procedures and
Accreditation Standards, 01/01/04)
  • Visit year 2003-04. Development will have begun
    of conceptual and operational definitions of
    learning goals for each degree program.
  • Visit year 2004-05. Beginning use will be made
    of some measures with monitoring and revision to
    refine definition
  • Visit year 2005-06. An assurance of learning
    system will be in place with measures and record
    keeping for assessing program effectiveness.
  • Visit year 2006-07 and beyond. Results from
    assurance of learning measures will guide
    continuing development of degree programs.
    Processes will evaluate and update the assurance
    of learning system.
