- WLPT-II test materials will be shipped to
districts, boxed by school. Inventory test
materials with the packing list contained in Box
1 of the shipment. - After verifying the box count and materials
received, use the District and School Secure
Materials Checklist to verify the contents of all
materials received.

WLPT - Barcode readers used to assist with accounting
for test booklets after testing will be available
for lease. - Test security barcodes will be printed on the
front cover of test booklets, response booklets,

- School districts have RAMIS scanners to use for
counting and maintaining test documents during
the receiving and returning phases of the WPLT

11Practice Test
- Do not use the WLPT-II tests for practice or
instruction. - The Stanford English Language Proficiency Test
(SELP) will be used as the practice test. -
- To request a Stanford English Language
Proficiency (SELP) Practice Test form, contact
Customer Support at 1-800-763-2306. - The practice tests may be ordered from September
1, 2006 through May 31, 2007.
12Student Demographic Information
- The demographic information on students response
booklets should be completed prior to the test
administration. - Pre-ID labels are to be placed in the designated
area of the demographic page.

- If an accurate pre-ID label is not available,
student information (Boxes 1 through 6) must be
filled in and gridded by hand. - New for 2007
- Box 7 Date Tested must be gridded on each
demographic sheet.

15Movement of Students Between School Districts
- A pre-identified student response booklet may
follow a student to any other district or school
in the state. - In the absence of receiving a Pre-ID response
booklet from the previous school, a blank overage
booklet must be used. - Security Barcode Numbers for original test
booklets being sent are assigned to your
district.
16Movement of Students Between School Districts
- Ship the secure pre-identified student response
booklets to the new school or district. - Ship them to the Assessment Coordinator or
principal of the new school. - Once received, the response booklets become the
responsibility of the receiving school district. - The score results for a student are reported
based on the district in which the student was
enrolled on the last day of the testing window.
17Students who Enter or Withdraw During the Testing
Window
- Students who enter the school district during the
WLPT-II testing window should participate in
testing. - All students receiving supplemental ELD services
must be tested annually with the WLPT-II. - Students are expected to complete all sections of
the test within the day of administration.

- Students who qualify for services before or
during the FebruaryMarch testing window must be
tested with the WLPT-II during that window. - Students who qualify for services after the last
day of the FebruaryMarch testing window will be
tested during the May administration. - Students who qualify for services after the May
testing window will not be tested with the
WLPT-II until the following annual
administration.

- WLPT-II tests are available in Large Print. To
order large print editions of the WLPT-II, visit

- For students who are significantly visually
impaired or blind, contact OSPIs Assessment

assessment.

21 District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) is
responsible for
- Ordering additional Test Materials in Spectrum
- Distribution of Test Materials to Schools
- Shipping Scorable Materials to Harcourt
- Shortages (and/or overages) in test materials

22DAC Roles and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements a site test materials
handling plan. - Ensures that all materials are kept in a secure,
locked, limited-access location at all times. - Plans and implements training for site level
staff members.

- Follows appropriate procedures for counting,
distributing, collecting, and returning test
materials. - Investigates any lapse in security, loss of
materials, or other testing irregularities.
24Assessment Coordinator (AC) or Test Administrator
(TA) is responsible for
- Coordinates the WLPT-II test administration.
- Has knowledge regarding proper test
administration and test security. - Is familiar with information in the Assessment
Coordinator Manual (ACM) and the Directions for
Administration (DFAs). - Ensures that all personnel assigned to testing
are adequately trained.

- Separate ALL scorable materials from nonscorable
materials (including DFAs and unused test
booklets and response booklets). - Organize all scorable response booklets by grade
(including completed Primary level test
booklets). - Inspect the response booklets for completion of
the student demographic information. - Remove any loose paper from within the documents.

- Arrange the response booklets so that they are
all facing in the same direction (Demographics
Page side up). - Count the total number of response booklets for
each grade and place a paper band around the
documents (secure the paper band with tape). - Complete a Group ID sheet for each paper-banded
bundle enter the grade and number of documents
within each bundle. Place the Group ID sheet on
top of each bundle within the paper band. - Important Keep a copy of the Group ID sheet for
your records.

- SCORABLE MATERIALS
- Ensure that all scorable documents are returned
from each school. - Inspect scorable documents returned from schools
to ensure bundles are paper-banded correctly with
a completed Group ID sheet. - Ensure that all used and unused nonscorable
materials are returned from schools. - Keep scorable materials organized by school and
grade separate from nonscorable materials.

- SCORABLE MATERIALS
- Organize scorable materials by school in the
order listed on the Master File Sheet. - Enter the total number of Groups (or bundles) of
response booklets for each grade within each
school. - Enter the total number of Documents for each
grade within each school. - Pack scorable materials in the order of materials
listed on the Master File sheet. - Place the completed Master File Sheet in Box 1 of
your return shipment of scorable materials and be
sure to keep a copy for your records.

- Pack the scorable test materials into box(es) and
affix a YELLOW return label to each box. - Label each box sequentially (example Box 1 of 3,
Box 2 of 3, Box 3 of 3). - Place the completed Master File Sheet on top of
the scannable documents in Box 1. - Include all transcribed Large-Print test booklets
and response booklets in Box 1 of your shipment
of scorable materials.

If your district is not listed then you will
return your materials to Harcourt via UPS with
the labels provided in your Test Coordinators
Kit.

supplied to K2 you will need to contact K2
Logistics at 1-800-445-7213. K2 will provide each
district with bills of lading. - If your districts to be processed/scored
materials have not been retrieved by K2 Logistics
by 400 P.M. on April 3, 2007, please contact
them at 1-800-445-7213. - Important Keep tracking information for your
records.

- Use the blue (2-day, air) UPS label
- Non-Scorable Materials

- Through Harcourt Spectrum, you are able to manage
all the aspects of ordering test materials and
ancillary items for specific test
administrations. - You will be using Harcourt Spectrum to Place
Additional Orders. - You will not place Initial Orders through
Harcourt Spectrum. - Through Harcourt Spectrum, you are able to track
your orders. - The Order Tracking component allows you to track
your testing material orders through Harcourt and
Harcourts shipping vendors.
