    today?
  • Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth
    as it is in heaven.

14
Your Kingdom Come

Your Will Be DoneThe Work of the Kingdom
  • Pray On The Basis OfEphesians 411-16

16
Ephesians 411-16 NASB
  • And He gave some as apostles, and some as
prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as
    pastors and teachers,
  • for the equipping of the saints for the work of
service, to the building up of the body of
    Christ
  • but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow
up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even
    Christ,
  • from whom the whole body, being fitted and held
together by what every joint supplies, according
to the proper working of each individual part,
causes the growth of the body for the building up
    of itself in love.

Your Will Be DoneDaily Obedience
Matthew 633-34 But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness and all these things
shall be added unto you. Take therefore no
thought for the morrow for the morrow shall take
thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto
the day is the evil thereof.
20
Christianity A Daily Religion
  • And daily in the temple, and in every house, they
did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the
    Christ (Acts 542).

21
DAILY PRAYER
Matthew 6 11 Give us this day our daily
bread. 1 Thessalonians 5 17 Pray without
ceasing. Philippians 4 6 Be anxious for
nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known to God.
22
DAILY BIBLE STUDY
Acts 17 11 These were more fair-minded than
those in Thessalonica, in that they received the
word with all readiness, and searched the
Scriptures daily to find out whether these things
were so. 1 Peter 2 2 like newborn babies, long
for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you
may grow in respect to salvation, if you have
tasted the kindness of the Lord. 2 Peter 3 18
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ
23
DAILY MINISTERING
Acts 6 1 Now there arose a complaint against
the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their
widows were neglected in the daily distribution
(ministration). 1 John 3 17-18 But whoever has
this world's goods, and sees his brother in need,
and shuts up his heart from him, how does the
love of God abide in him? My little children, let
us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and
in truth.
24
DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT
Hebrews 3 13 but encourage one another daily,
while it is called "Today," lest any of you be
hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 1
Thessalonians 5 14 Now we exhort you,
brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the
fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with
all. Galatians 6 1 Brethren, if a man is
overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual
restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness,
considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
25
DAILY CROSS-BEARING
Luke 9 23 Then He said to them all, "If anyone
desires to come after Me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross daily, and follow
Me. Hebrews 5 8-9 though He was a Son, yet He
learned obedience by the things which He
suffered. And having been perfected, He became
the author of eternal salvation to all who obey
Him.
26
DAILY EVANGELISM
Acts 5 42 And daily in the temple, and in
every house, they did not cease teaching and
preaching Jesus as the Christ. Acts 2 46 So
continuing daily with one accord in the temple,
and breaking bread from house to house, they ate
their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.
27
DAILY RESULTS
Acts 2 47 praising God and having favor with all
the people. And the Lord added to the church
daily those who were being saved. Acts 16 5 So
the churches were strengthened in the faith, and
increased in number daily.

Growth of the Body
31
An Exhortation To Pray
  • As we progress in our study and consider the
majestic greatness of God, His love that passes
understanding, His readiness to hear our
petitions and His infinite power which enables
Him to answer them, why should it be necessary to
urge people to continue steadfastly in prayer?
  • Add to this mans weakness and constant need for
divine help in meeting the problems of life, it
becomes all the more difficult to understand our
neglect of this marvelous privilege and power. .
    . .

32
An Exhortation To Pray
  • Does it not then become a sin if we omit this
great responsibility and essential to spiritual
    life and growth?
  • Let each ask himself, Do I really pray? If the
answer is no, from this moment make a change in
this exercise of infinite value. Homer
Hailey, Prayer and Providence, p. 14
