Mission Statement
Sheffield Football Club schools and Community
coaching scheme is committed to providing high
quality football and fitness coaching to local
youngsters whatever their age, sex, religion or
ability. Our aim is to encourage children to
enjoy playing and watching sport, especially
football at all levels. The scheme is committed
to equality and social inclusion, in a safe and
friendly environment where children can enjoy
physical activity. Sheffield Football Club is
focused on forging closer links with the
Community and we strive to provide the highest
quality of service.

About Us
Since the scheme was established in February
2005, the Worlds First Football Club, Sheffield
FC, have developed close associations with many
schools in both mainstream and special
educational needs schools in the Sheffield area
and provided in-school coaching for age groups
from age 4 to 16. We offer talks to schools via
assemblies to highlight the important role
Sheffield FC played in the history of the
beautiful game. We will encourage and develop an
interest in football by providing professional
coaching that not only provides a platform for
improving skills, but also gives opportunities
for young people of Sheffield to learn about the
game and to have fun at the same time. Children
from 4 upwards have benefited from the
co-ordination, agility and speed sessions
undertaken by our qualified coaches.

Fairness We shall provide equal opportunity to
children of mixed ability and develop their
football skills within their own levels of
capability, in an enjoyable and fun environment.

examples we set.
Technique We shall coach only those skills
recognised and accepted by the football
authorities, in strict accordance with the Laws
of the Game, and uphold their professional

In School Coaching
Fully qualified coaches attend your school and
undertake fitness coaching that concentrates on
increasing a childs co-ordination, fitness,
agility, reactions and speed in a fun safe
environment. Our coaches supply their own
equipment that includes mini-hurdles, ladders and
slalom poles. Sessions are aimed to stimulate
children and aim for improved performance over a
five or six week period. These sessions can be
used for teachers to receive some PPA time cover.
All year groups can undertake these fun filled
sessions which are structured so that ALL
children participate and enjoy the benefit of
them. Cost 30.00 VAT per hour (up to 30
Children).

After School and Lunch Time Clubs
Professional coaches from Sheffield FC provide
structured football coaching for 5-6 weeks to fit
schools terms. The sessions cover all basic
soccer skills and work also on a childs
co-ordination and agility all in a fun
environment. Sessions are one hour duration.
Every session always finishes with a match and
the maximum coach to player ratio is 116. Every
child receives a certificate and free tickets to
Sheffield FC home matches. Cost 2.50 per
child per session or 12.00 for a full six week
course.

Sports Day
Sheffield FC will provide professional coaches
and organise your school sports day from start to
finish. The whole school can be involved in the
football and fitness orientated schedule.

Girls Only Coaching
Sheffield FCs Community scheme can provide
coaching sessions for girls only on school
premises whether after school or at lunchtime.
This is an ideal opportunity for girls of all
ages and abilities to improve techniques in a
friendly environment. We also offer female
coaches if requested. Cost 2.50 per child per
session of 12.00 for the full six week term.

School Team Coaching
Our professional coaches can help a school team
by advising them on training sessions for the
school team, taking one or more sessions,
assisting in trial matches and even attending a
school match. Cost 30.00 VAT per hour.

Holiday Football Camps
These courses are undertaken at the home of
Sheffield FC. They include all aspects of
football fitness, skills, small sided games,
competitions etc. All equipment is supplied by
the football club. Cost 10.00 per day per
child.

Teacher Fitness Coaching
Our professional coaches will attend your school,
either in a lunch hour or after school and
undertake a fitness coaching session or series of
sessions for your staff based on speed, agility,
fitness and co-ordination. This can then be
aligned to the sessions that your pupils could
also be undertaking. Cost POA.

Birthday Parties
Held at the home of Sheffield FC, for a maximum
of 20 children on the day. Enjoy having your own
boardroom where we provide a healthy food option.
You will have your own professional coach for one
hour, a birthday present and competition prizes.
Cost 70.00 VAT Extra costs Signed ball
10.00 or signed shirts at 45.00, Food 5.00 per
child.

School Day Visits
Members of Sheffield FCs Football in the
Community team will come to your school for the
day and will take every class for a fun coaching
session. In these sessions the children will
learn new tricks, skills from our pro coaches and
allow your teachers to learn a thing or two about
delivering football coaching sessions. Cost
100.00 per day.
