What Thanksgiving Means To Us Today
  • The religious day of thanksgiving turned into a
yearly tradition held on a Thursday in November.
  • As America grew and New Englanders moved to new
states, the custom of an annual Thanksgiving Day
    took part throughout the country
  • Thanksgiving did not become a national holiday
    until President Abraham Lincoln's 1863
    proclamation.
  • Today we celebrate thanksgiving with friends
    family and loved ones.
