A LITTLE ABOUT RADIO FREQUENCY
900 Megahertz is better for Long Range. Lower
frequencies are less absorbed by objects
including Free Air.
For optimal range you need Clear Line of Sight.
Meaning the area is removed of all obstacles.
Ranches and Farms are generally open spaces where
you will achieve maximum range. In an office
building or large single story enclosed building
ranges of the DuraFon system will be less. The
use of an external antenna will often help us
overcome indoor and outdoor obstacles.
Radio Frequency will not travel through Metal
Materials.
Radio Frequency can travel over, around or
through most objects and materials to a limited
degree. The higher the Frequency, the less
penetration is available. Again, 900Mhz is better
for penetration there for Longer Range.
