• Characters are the people in the story.
• There may be one main character or several main
  characters.

Setting

• The setting is the place, time, and culture of
  the story.

Style

• Style is the way the story has been written.
• Does the author use
• Symbolism
• Irony
• Specific sentence structures

Climax

• The climax is the high point, or most exciting
  part of the story.

Plot

• What is happening in the story?
• What is the climax or high point of the story?

• What is the main idea or ideas of the story?
