  forms of diversity that a team must overcome to
  be successful and ultimately win the goal set out
  each year to win the World Series

• The African-American percentage was high but not
  as much as Whites. The other percentage ( Asian,

  mesh them together to achieve the highest results
  Wins

  amazing that a group of players can come together
  in a relatively short amount of time to achieve
  the goal of the team

• In 1998, Major League Baseball Commissioner,
  Allan H. (Bud) Selig, authorized the
  establishment of the Diverse Business Partners
  (DBP) Program, an initiative designed to increase
  opportunities for minorities and women to
  participate with the procurement activities of
  Major League Baseball. Agreements were signed
  with the NMSDC (National Minority Supplier
  Development Council) and WBENC (Womens Business
  Enterprise National Council). The program is
  designed to promote efficiency and profitability
  while extending Baseball's ability to contribute
  to the economic strength and well being of
  diverse communities. In other words the
  distribution of apparel, sports memorabilia, etc.
  It also helps strengthen the relationships with
  diverse communities and multiple fan bases.
