A perfect cooling can be expected when you get
the right air conditioner. If you buy an air
conditioner that goes well with space and meets
the cooling capacity, you will get the right
cooling experience. Have you heard about tonnage?
An air conditioner comes with a cooling capacity
known as tonnage that helps you to decide the
capacity of the model to cool down space. It
depends upon the size of the room you are looking
for, and space you look out to cover. You would
need to calculate the tonnage in the right way
so that the cooling capacity is met easily. If
that does not meet, you will not experience
cooling in the best way. It will only give you a
disappointing situation with a high electricity
bill.

For such an experience, make sure you are right
with the space and the capacity of space you are
looking out for. The moment you know the
capacity that would fit your room in the right
way, you will avail the best cooling experience
with a good electricity bill. Are you looking
out for an air conditioner? If so, make sure you
are following these criteria. Buy 1.5 ton AC
unit from the Hitachi website and get the best
summer experience.

WHAT IS TONNAGE?
  • Tonnage in very simple terms is the capacity of
an air conditioner to cool down space. There is
a lot that depends upon the tonnage you choose.
Each air conditioner model comes with a specific
tonnage and it can only cool down the specific
space it is capable of. If you feel by buying a
low-capacity machine you are saving a lot, it
will be wrong because the electricity bills will
    be a lot high.
  • There are various tonnages available like 1-ton,
    2-ton, 1.5-ton, 2.5- ton, 3-ton, 3.5-ton, 4-ton,
and more. These capacities are different and it
considers the different spaces to be covered.
Your requirements may be different and you need
to consider the tonnage to go for the right
    cooling experience

TONNAGE CALCULATION
If a room sq. ft. is below 100 sq. ft., then go
for 0.75/0.8- or 1-Ton AC. That will be enough.
2. If a room is 100-200 sq. ft., then go for 1
Ton AC. A 1.5 Ton AC will be sufficient to cool
your room. Though the specs sheet will say it is
meant for rooms less than 200 sq. feet. You can
go ahead with 250 sq. ft. If you reside on the
top floor, just below the terrace, you should
choose 1.5 Inverter or 2 Ton AC.
