New Campaign Warns of Dangers of Fentanyl in
Drug Supply
A new public awareness campaign, "Small Amount,"
warns of the dangers of small amounts of fentanyl
in the drug supply. People who are using
counterfeit pills like addies, percs, oxy, meth,
and powder forms of heroin and cocaine may not
realize that those drugs may have fentanyl in
them. Just a small amount what could ?t on the
tip of a pencil could cause a lethal overdose.

According to state ?gures, fentanyl is involved
in 3 out of every 4 overdose deaths. Many of
those who overdosed did so, unaware that the
substances they were taking had been mixed with
fentanyl. As part of its campaign, the state is
directing audiences to its overdose prevention

recommendations to carry naloxone and make sure a
friend is present to administer it if necessary.
