Act (FFATA)

Equipment Considerations
  • Equipment disposition may take up to 120 days to
    complete
  • Equipment with a fair market value of 5,000 or
    more must follow disposition procedures
  • Recipients must take and maintain a bi-annual
    inventory of equipment
  • An equipment inventory may be included in the
    final progress report

Grant Processing Timelines Associated with Common
Grant Requests
  • 30 days to complete the following actions
  • Reprogram or re-budget request
  • Greater than 10 percent of existing object class
    category or greater than 100,000
  • Change in principle investigator
  • No cost extension
  • Foreign travel
  • Canada and Mexico are exempt

Amendments are generated for the following
award action requests
  • No cost extensions
  • Funding increases
  • Must be accepted by the recipients authorized
    representative unless authority has been
    delegated to Principal Investigators
