  • Zoloto means gold in Ukrainian
  • Company has been alive for twelve years

  • - Wanted to start own dance group
  • - Started dance group because Keris started
    Ukrainian dance at young age
  • - Enjoyed dancing
  • - When got older assisted dance instructor
  • - Attended dance seminars
  • - Started group with adults (friends and other
    dancers)
  • - Danced and taught at same time, then just
    taught
  • - Grew to how it is today

    dance preformed by all dance groups around the
    world and is a traditional opening for all
    performances. Shows the ancient bond between the
    Ukrainian people

  • Dance lively, energetic, lots of character by
    high stepping and tight foot stamping.

  • Overview east and west of Boikans. Hutzul also
    in Romanian territory
  • Extends down east and south east
  • Located in the very high mountains
  • Dances taught commonly due to lively high
    energetic music and stepping
  • Known for circular patterns extreme energy that
    involves lifts and spinning couples.
  • Steps done uptight and down motion instead of
    wide side to side due to smaller area on the
    mountains.

  • Its irregular QUADRANGLE covers both foothills
    and the fertile plane
  • Originally part of Kyivan State
  • Dances - Known for modern paced beat
  • Males lots of clapping and slapping of their
    bodies aspects of both Hungarian and
    Czechoslovakian cultural dances
  • Girls long puffy skirts made to swish with every
    slight move of hips or upward movement of hips

  • I chose this subject for a Heritage Project
    because
  • - I take Ukrainian dancing
  • - I wanted to know more about the Ukrainian
    heritage
  • - I wanted to know how Zoloto started
  • - I thought that studying it could help me be a
    better dancer
  • - I wanted to better understand Ukrainian
    dancing
