ACHI Year 3 High School Based Major Activities
and Achievements
  • Peer educators are providing one-on-one and group
    discussions 7 times per month on average in 8
    high schools
  • extracurricular activities occurred monthly from
    November through April in Year 2
  • 107 students in one pilot high school
    successfully participated in a behaviour change
    project during ACHI year 2

  • 9 one-on-one and group discussions were held by
    each summer intern in July and August 2005 4

  • One extracurricular activity each month (July and

    improve the cooperation process
  • Once individuals/organizations/businesses have
    increased awareness of the situation, the
    opportunity for support is higher

    to make project cycle management go smoothly

Strategic directions for Programs development
  • Sectoral focus. Health is the main sector,
    specifically HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and
    reproductive health. Disaster response, Economic
    development, Wat/San and are the other areas of
    interest
  • Geographic focus. Cao Bang is an immediate
    priority. Quang Ngai is secondary. Expansion into
    other provinces (Ha Tay, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang)
    when strategically expedient. ADRA Vietnam is
    already looking at expanding programs into
    southern Vietnam.
