After purchasing Avast antivirus products, one
often faces problems in activating it. There are
two possibilities that could be triggering the
issue-the license file and activation code. In
order to ensure that both of them are
successfully resolved, you can retrieve a copy of
your license from its website or your Avast
account. There are two ways in which you can
activate your product-one via License file and
other via Avast activation code. If you want to
activate the product via License file, read
below.

If you have purchased Avast Premier version and
received an email confirmation regarding it, you
need to insert the particular file to Avast
Premier to activate the same. To ensure
successful results, you must update the product
for the latest version. You can also request a
copy of the license to activate the product. In
some cases, you will receive an activation code
instead of a license confirmation. If you have
received a code, then follow these steps to
activate it.

• If you have received a code, then follow these
  steps to activate it.
• Open your email of order confirmation.
• Right-click on the attached License.avastlic file
  and choose Save link as option.
• Select any folder and save the file.
• Right click on the Avast icon and select on
  Subscription information.
• Here you will see an option of My licenses. Tap
  on it and enter a valid Avast activation code.
• Press the button-Use a license file.
• Search the previously saved License.avastlic file
  and open it.
• Check the details of your license for the
  inserted file.
• If you have a license file for another product,
  you can select that from a list of products and
  select the respective license from the drop-down
  menu.
• Go to Continue and return to My Licenses
  window.
