Our Recent GMAT Results
About the GMAT Exam The Graduate Management
Admission Test (GMAT Exam) examination is a
standardized test designed to measure an
aspirants aptitude for business studies at
graduate school. This test has been administered,
for over 50 years, in more than 150 countries
around the world by the GMAC (Graduate Management
Admission Council). GMAT Exam score is based on
a range of 200 (minimum) to 800 (maximum). The
scoring pattern is on an increment of 10
points. The exam is administered round the year,
except Sundays and National Holidays. To register
for the exam student has to visit www.mba.com.
Exam fees for GMAT Exam is USD 250, however to
change date or venue candidate has to pay 50.
The change of date or venue is possible before 7
days of test taking date. GMAT Exam score is
valid for 5 years. Students now will be able to
view their unofficial GMAT score prior to making
a decision to accept or cancel them. GMAT Exam
allows candidate to send score at 5 B-Schools /
programs after administering the test and before
getting the final scores. Further payment of
US28 should be made to send scores at additional
B-schools. It is recommended that test takers
should decide which schools they wish to apply
even before appearing for the test during the
preparation of exam. GMAT Exam score comes after
in 21 working days. (However raw score of IR,
Verbal and Quant immediately after the
exam). GMAT Exam can be taken 5 times in a year
with a gap of minimum 16 days. Passport is
mandatory to take the GMAT Exam. Any score
above 700 is considered as good score.

Types of Management Programmes MIM - Management
Programme for Freshers Masters in Management
(MIM) is a postgraduate programme in general
management. It is an ideal course for fresh
graduates and anyone within the age group of
21-24 years. Candidates with work experience
between 0-2 years' can apply for this
programme. Global MBA - People with 2 years'
work experience Global MBA is a postgraduate
programme in general management which offers
specialisation in a particular field. It is a
highly selective programme for exceptional
individuals who want to fast-track their career
in an international environment. Executive MBA -
People with 9 years' work experience An EMBA is
essentially an abridged and customised MBA
programme, where the average student profile is
slightly different. The EMBA program is designed
for mid-career executives poised at pivotal
junctures in their careers. Sloan Fellowship
Programme - People with 10 years' work
experience The Sloan Fellow Programme is a
mid-career master's degree in general management
and leadership. A minimum of 10 years of work
experience is required to apply for the Sloan
Fellowship Programme. It is offered by the MIT -
Sloan School of Management, The London School of
Business and The Stanford- Graduates School of
Business.
What is a Computer Adaptive Test? Computer
Adaptive Test is a test which indicates that the
test adapts itself to the correctness / in
correctness of your responses. The first few
questions in Verbal Ability and Quantitative
sections are of moderate difficulty. With
correct responses, the level of difficulty
increases, and conversely - with incorrect
responses the level of difficulty decreases. The
score does not depend only on the number of
correct and incorrect answers. It also depends
on the difficulty level of the questions
encountered. The weightage for tougher questions
is more than for the easier questions. The test
is administered on the computer and the
questions have to be tackled in the order in
which they appear you cannot skip a question.
Neither can you revert to an earlier question to
change the answer. However Integrated Reasoning
is not computer adaptive. It is essential that
all questions are completed as there is a heavy
penalty for the questions not attempted. These
factors make time management very critical in
GMAT Exam.

Details of the GMAT Exam 1. AWA - Analytical
Writing Assessment
The task is that of analysing an argument, which
is presented as a short passage that the
test-taker has to evaluate and present his/her
critique. The test-taker does not require any
in-depth knowledge of the argument topic, but
the test takers capacity to write analytically
is assessed.
There are two optional break for eight minutes
after IR section Quant section.

• Time - 30 min ? Score Range - 0-6
• 2. Integrated Reasoning (IR) Section
• The four question types in the IR section are
• Graphic Interpretation that tests ability to
  understand graphs and draw inferences from them.
• Two Part Analysis that measures ability to
  understand relationship between two entities.
• Multi-Source reasoning that measures ability to
  assimilate information from multiple sources of
  information. The sources can be tables, graphs,
  emails etc.
• Table Analysis that presents questions based on a
  sortable data table.
• On screen calculator will be provided for this
  section only.
• Time - 30 min ? Number of questions - 12 ? Scale
  score - 1-8
• 3. Quantitative Section

There are two types of multiple choice questions
in this section. The questions are intermingled
throughout the section.
