  • PLACE RIGHT HEEL OF FOOT INTO BRANNOCK (NOTE
    BRANNOCK IS MARKED LEFT RIGHT.
  • MAKE SURE SOCKS ARE PULLED SNUG BUT NOT SO TIGHT
    AS TO PULL BACK ON THE TOES.
  • WITH YOUR HAND PUSH BACK ON THE INSTEP OF THE
    FOOT TO MAKE SURE THE FOOT IS AS FAR BACK IN THE
    BRANNOCK AS POSSIBLE.
  • PRESS TOES FLAT AGAINST THE BASE OF THE BRANNOCK
  • LOOK OVER THE LONGEST TOE ( NOT ALWAYS THE FIRST
    ) AND RECORD THAT MEASUREMENT IN THE FIRST BOX ON
    THE DR. COMFORT FITTING PAD.
  • IF MEASUREMENT IS BETWEEN SIZES GO UP TO THE NEXT
    LARGEST SIZE.

  • PUSH BACK ON THE INSTEP AGAIN TO MAKE SURE FOOT
    IS AS FAR BACK IN THE BRANNOCK AS POSSIBLE.
  • PLACE YOUR THUMB ON TOP OF THE 1ST MPJ.
  • SLIDE THE POINTER SO THAT IT IS CENTERED ON YOUR
    THUMB.
  • RECORD THAT MEASURMENT IN THE SECOND BOX ON THE
    DR. COMFORT FITTING PAD.
  • IF YOU ARE BETWEEN SIZES, GO UP TO THE NEXT
    LARGEST SIZE.

  • THE MIDPOINT IS NOT A MEASUREMENT, IT IS A
    CALCULATION.
  • ADD THE HEEL TO BALL AND HEEL TO TOE
    MEASUREMENTS AND DIVIDE THE SUM BY TWO - ROUNDING
    UP TO THE NEXT SIZE.
  • EXAMPLE 7.58.015.5/27.75 ROUNDING UP YOU GET
    A SIZE 8.0.
  • RECORD THAT NUMBER IN THE MIDPOINT BOX.

  • REMEMBER TO MAKE SURE THE FOOT IS PUSHED AS FAR

    OF THE FOOT.
  • DO NOT PRESS IT TOO TIGHT JUST SO THAT IT
    TOUCHES.
  • USE THE MIDPOINT SIZE PREVIOUSLY DETERMINED AND
    FIND THE LETTER MEASUREMENT THAT IS DIRECTLY
    BELOW THAT NUMBER.
  • REMEMBER MENS IS BLUE WOMENS IS YELLOW.
  • IF THE READING IS BETWEEN LETTERS ROUND UP TO THE
    NEXT LARGER LETTER.
  • TRANSLATE THE LETTER TO THE CORRESPONDING WIDTH
    THAT IS MARKED IN CATALOGS, QUICK REFERENCE
    GUIDES, OR ON THE DR. COMFORT FITTING PAD.

  • HAVE THE PATIENT TRY ON BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT
    SHOES.
  • HAVE THE PATIENT WALK AROUND TO CHECK FIT.
  • CHECK FOR
  • 1ST MPJ IS IN THE WIDEST PART OF THE SHOE
  • AT LEAST ¼ IN FRONT OF THE LONGEST TOE
  • NO GAPS IN BACK OR SIDES OF HEEL
