English Language requirements for UK Universities.
  • In general the English Language requirement as
    per UKVI is CEFR (Common European Framework of
    Reference for Languages) Level B2 which is as
    mentioned below -
  • Minimum 5.5 overall with 5.5 in each section in
    IELTS
  • NOTE Although UKVI requirement is IELTS 5.5
    overall but most of the UK Universities require
    students with IELTS 6.0 or 6.5 overall with
    minimum 5.5 in each section
  • IELTS waiver is available in most of the
    universities if the student has secured more than
  • 70 marks in 12th English.

English Language requirements for UK Universities.
  • Pre-sessional English Language Program is also
    available in UK Universities for the students who
    do not meet the IELTS requirements of the
    University.
  • Note
  • W.E.F 6th April 2015,for Pre-sessional English
    course, Foundation course or any other course
    below degree level, students will require SELT,
    IELTS from UKVI approved test centers only. The
    fees for same is Rs.18,600
  • There are only 30 UKVI approved Test centers in
    India.
  • The UKVI IELTS test is the same as standard IETLS
    test, but the center has improved security
    features, including CCTV, Voice sampling and
    independent audits. The test results will be
    administered electronically and verifiable online.

Sources of Finance
  • Self funded- Parents.
  • Loans- from nationalized banks or private sector
    banks. A guarantor or Collateral Security is
    required. Interest rates are low and repayment
    begins after completion of program.
  • Employment- Current immigration regulations
    permit students to work part-time (20 hours a
    week and 40 hours a week during vacation).

Entry Criteria for Masters Programme
  • Academic Requirements
  • For High ranked universities, student need to
    have 60-70 in Graduation.
  • For Middle ranked universities, student need to
    have 55-65 in Graduation.
  • Very few universities accepts the students having
    50 and above in Graduation
  • Students who do not meet academic criteria can
    apply for Masters through various pathways by
    applying Pre-Masters leading to Masters.
