• Organization Mrs. Jensen works with each year
• American Foundation in Fabens, Texas
• Serves Mexicos poorest population
• Building first and largest Mexican orphanage

Our Goal

• Purchase shoes and socks for children in Mexico.
• Another group is sending blankets to keep them
  warm at night.

• Raise enough money to send as many shoes with
  Mrs. Jensen in March to Mexico!

• Collected change
• Christmas money

Garage Sale Success!!!!

• Students began bringing in old or semi-used items
  to sell at our all-school garage sale early in
  the fall.
• The night before we set-up, priced, and organized
  the NUMEROUS amounts of loved items!
• Two classrooms were filled with things to be
  soldwe hoped the shoppers would come!

Garage Sale Day

• All four 2nd grade classrooms were assigned jobs
  for the day of the garage sale.
• Security Staff was a popular job!

Students collected money, made change and thanked
the shoppers for supporting such a great cause!

Drum Roll Please....

• With all of the sacrifices and the help of Lee
  Elementary Students.
• We raised 2,200 for our grand total!!!
• Just think of the shoes we can buy!!!!

Wal-Mart Comes To the Aid!!!!

• Now that the money was counted, it was time to
  purchase the shoes...
• Wal-Mart is a local store, so we started
  thereand didnt have to look anywhere else!
• They offered 10 off the total cost of the
  shoes!!! Thanks Wal-Mart!!!!

Shopping Day!!

• We boarded buses, drove to Hastings, and shopped
  for shoes!!!

Kids Helping Kids Facts

• 177 Shoes were purchased for kids in Mexico
• 414 pairs of socks were purchased
• 17 flip-flops will be sent as well
• 2,200 was raised to purchase shoes
• 2,420 was spent on shoes and socks
• 10 was taken off the total bill which gave us an
  extra 220 dollars to spend!!!!!
