Wrigley Rooftop A Home for Baseball Games
2
  • What is a Wrigley Rooftop? A Wrigley rooftop is
a generic name for rooftops of residential
buildings, which have high end bars, offer
catering services, and stadium style seating to
accommodate guests for baseball games or other
    events at Wrigley field.

3
  • The Wrigley rooftop experience began in 1974 when
owner George Loukas purchased his first rooftop
building on Waveland Avenue, tenants and friends
would climb through a hatch of the roof to get a
view of the game. As word spread of the breath
taking views and good times, a niche industry
    began to take form.

4
  • The rooftops hatches were replaced by staircases
and coolers. Strangers started asking Loukas to
go on the roof and they were even willing to
spend money to do so. That is how the Wrigley
    Rooftop industry was born.

  • Today there are 16 official Wrigley Rooftops
sanctioned by the Chicago Cubs. All 16 rooftops
feature unparalleled views and amenities plus
premier elevated seating for a true Wrigley field
experience. Wrigley rooftops provide the most
unique way to experience a base ball game in the
    country.

7
  • Most importantly, Wrigley Rooftops guarantees
both an indoor and outdoor seat with plenty of
room to mix and mingle. The guests comfort and
preserving the game day experience is the utmost
concern. Wrigley Rooftops also provide three
levels of indoor and outdoor event space and
seating available tickets and group of up to 200.
Here are the different Rooftops to choose from.

Beyond the Ivy Rooftop
  • Beyond the Ivy consists of three buildings, all
on Waveland near the northwest corner of the
field, the Waveland location has sightlines
closer to center field and is the most spacious
of the three properties, the 1038 is more modern
and the 1048 has more traditional vibe.

10
  • Brixen Ivy, located just west of the third base
foul line was the first building at Wrigley built
for the purpose of Rooftop viewing. Good for
smaller groups of 25 to 40, food is off the grill
with various items catered by taste of Paris.

Down the line Rooftop
  • Down the line is a double lot building with good
views down the first base line. Rest room
limitations sometimes leads to longer than normal
wait times, however, and scoring seats may
involve some competition. Door open one hour
before the game and lining up before the game is
recommended, the food is good and there are
    several beer options.

13
  • The Rooftop above the bar at Sheffield and
Waveland is available primarily for group events,
though occasionally individual tickets are made
available, tickets are inexpensive and the
amenities are relatively low key. The building is
recognizable for its lit up Harry Caray sign.

Skybox on Sheffield
  • The food and beverage selection here at this
facility rises up above the competition, Skybox
has a partnership with Goose Island catering that
offers some of Chicagos best flavors. The drinks
selection caters to beer connoisseurs accordingly
with several micro brews available. Skybox has
stadium seating which can be limited, so early
    arrival is recommended.

16
  • 3639 Wrigley Rooftop is the best high-end rooftop
option out there. The 3639 team really rolls out
the red carpet for its VIP guests, similar to the
luxury suite at modern stadiums and views are
stellar. The fourth level covered terrace offers
café tables and lounge seating in the shade while
the party happens on level five.
