• University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany

• My family originates from Germany. The classes
  were taught in English. I always had an itch to
  go to Germany.

My Expectations

• Travel all over the place
• Meet people from all over the world
• Learn a new language

Process

• First Steps Meeting
• Talked with Dean Bohn about my wants and needs
  1 year before I wanted to go
• Program with classes taught in English
• Relatively inexpensive
• Found a program that met my wants and needs
• Applied for scholarships 8 months in advance
• Applied to University of Hohenheim 7 months
• Bought round-trip plane ticket 6 months

Life Abroad It is what you make it

• I lived in an apartment with a two guys from
  Africa
• Enrolled in a language course the first month I
  was in Germany best decision I ever made
• Traveled with friends I met in my language course
  both within Germany and around Europe.
• Never spent a day alone in my room

What I Found

• It was totally different than my expectations
• But better than anything I could have imagined
• Met people I will never forget
• Visited places and experienced things that I will
  never be able to explain to people who werent
  there

Recommendations

• Start EARLY
• Take the language course
• Dont be afraid to put yourself out there
• Never spend the first month alone in your room
• Do NOT go with someone you know
• FinallyENJOY IT!!!!
