2Implementation of Reward Systems
- Students receive daily, weekly, monthly and
intermittent rewards in the classroom and on a
school-wide basis
3Daily Rewards
- Earn Generals Stars
- Purchase classroom items
- Seat choice, free drill, choice of partner, etc
- Purchase items from the school store
- Items are given both dollar and star values
4Weekly Rewards
- Agenda Drawings
- Five agenda numbers drawn randomly
- Homeroom teachers check the agenda books for
completion - If number was drawn and agenda book is complete,
student gets a prize from the office - PBIS Generals Store open every Friday during
lunches - Items for sale organized in grouping of 15, 30,
45, and 60 stars

- Large stuffed animals, basketballs and footballs
6Quarterly Rewards
- Random Drawings for Students
- Students can put their stars in boxes set up in
cafeteria for large drawings (IPODS, digital
cameras, etc) - Teacher Drawings
- Stars are drawn and the teacher who administered
the star receives a reward
7Intermittent Rewards
- Buy it days
- Students buy the rights to participate in Buy
It day by purchasing a sticker in social studies
classrooms. - Hat day
- Pajama Day
- Halloween Costume Day
- The sticker must be visible throughout day.
- Purchase tickets to dances, admittance to special
assemblies
8Theme Days
- Students receive stars for participating in theme
days. - Teachers incorporate themes into classroom
lessons. - Examples include
- Professional Day
- Fill out job applications, Self-evaluation and
written expression of qualifications for specific
jobs - College Day
- Fill out college applications
9Integration of Rewards in BLS Program
- Students transfer points earned on BLS point
sheets to stars. - Point value determined by student average of
points earned. - Stars used into classroom incentive programs as
well as school-wide incentive programs.
10Teacher Support
- Posters in faculty room and main office highlight
classroom ideas for teachers for giving out
stars, using stars as rewards, etc. - PBIS ideas, good news, data listed in monthly
newsletters - Feedback forms available in the faculty room.
