• Limited interaction amongst the member countries
• No effective exchange of ideas and views amongst
  the member countries
  
• Diverse policy and regulatory settings across the
  region impede growth of regulatory
  institutions/agencies
  
• Limited regulatory professionals/experts

WHAT SATRC CAN DO?

• SATRC can play a major role in enhancing the
  development of regulatory agencies in the region
  
  
• SATRC must be more dynamic and pro-active
• Active participation and contribution of members
  are needed at all times, not only during SATRC
  meetings
  
• Instrumental to strengthening regulatory capacity
  in the region
