  • Lets say that we would like to know how much
rainfall the Meadview area has received in the
    past 2 days.

3
  • From the ALERT System main page, click on
    Rainfall Maps

4
  • Select the Map and Time Step you are
interested in. In this example we selected
Meadview and 2 Days. Now click on the
    Submit button.

5
  • A map is generated from the server with the
location and time step you selected. By default,
if you leave this map open it will automatically
    update every five minutes.

6
  • By following the same steps and selecting
different maps from the list, you can access
rainfall data for many other locations throughout
    Mohave County.
  • Historic rainfall data is maintained on the
server which in most cases allows the user to
access up to several years worth of data.

7
  • Now lets say we would like to know what the
current road conditions are on Hualapai Mountain
    Road.

8
  • From the ALERT System main page, click on
    Animated Graphics.

9
  • Select Hualapai Mountain RWIS from the templet
list and click on the Submit button.

10
  • An animated graphic is displayed with the
current data for the location you selected. By
default, if you leave this screen open it will
    automatically update every 60 seconds.

11
  • By following the same steps and selecting a
different templet from the list, you can access
real-time animated graphics for other Road
Weather Information Systems and full weather
    stations.

12
  • Now, lets say that we are interested in
monitoring the stream flow of the Sacramento Wash
    in Golden Valley.

13
  • From the ALERT System main page we will select
    Animated Graphics.

14
  • Select Upper Sacramento Valley Basin Stage
from the templet list and click on the Submit
    button.

15
  • An animated graphic is displayed for the
selection. The hydrographs associated with the
sensors along the wash would identify any
activity recorded from the base station server.
By default, this screen will update every 60
    seconds.

16
  • By following the same steps and selecting a
different templet from the list, you can access
real-time animated graphics for other stream flow
    gages.

17
  • And finally, lets take a look at a different
way to view the data that is generated from the
Mohave County ALERT Flood Warning System.
  • Since data from the ALERT system is uploaded to a
variety of agencies including the Arizona
Department of Water Resources, we will take a few
steps to link to their website which is
maintained by the Salt River Project.

18
  • From the ALERT System main page, click on the
    GIS Gage Map icon.

19
  • Click on Launch Map Viewer to view the GIS
information for all of the ALERT sites in Mohave
    County.

20

In the toolbar, locate the identify icon and
click on it.
21
  • Click on the site you are interested in. In
this example we clicked on the 7650 Wikieup
site. The results of our inquiry are displayed on
the right side of the page. Now click on the
    More data URL.

22
  • A new link is opened to the ADWR Flood
Drought Monitoring site. From here you can not
only see the data in a different format, but you
can also view plotted historical data.

23
  • These are just a few of the different ways
that you can access real-time weather information
from the Mohave County ALERT Flood Warning System.
