• Mike Mills works as a filmmaker, graphic
  designer, and artist.

• Born in 1966 in Berkeley, CA.
• Father was a museum director mother was an
  artist.
• As a filmmaker, has directed music videos,
  commercials, short films, documentaries.
• Wrote and directed his first feature film
  entitled Thumbsucker, released in 2005.

• Graduated from Cooper Union in 1989.
• Was once a semi-professional skateboarder.
• Many of his frames of references come from the
  subcultures of punk rock and skateboarding.
• Has directed music videos, designed album covers
  and promotional materials for musical artists, as
  well as directing commercials.
