Conclusions
  • Acidithiobacillus cells can reduce Cr(VI)
  • A. ferrooxidans had a higher reduction capacity
  • A continuous flow system allowed for Cr(VI)
    reduction and Cr(III) solubilization
  • Acidithiobacillus present a feasible technology
    for removal of Cr from solid residues
