your children, but you need information to help
    you make the right choices.
  • This website provides information to help
parents look after the dental health of their
child. Please go to the "For Mum" page for
helpful information on what is the correct way to

How long does a toothbrush last?
  • Most people dont change their toothbrush as
often as they should. Dentists recommend that you
should change your toothbrush every three months
(at least four times a year). Children wear out
their toothbrush even faster than adults because
they have a tendency to bite and chew on the
    brush.

Make Tooth Brushing a Good Habit!
  • Your childs first year is the phase during
which their first teeth will come through the
gums, around six to eight months of age. These
first milk teeth have thinner enamel than
permanent teeth and can be more susceptible to
    decay.
  • Children of this age group should not be
given bottles of juice or other sugary drinks
between meals and at night, to ensure that their
milk teeth are protected from damage.
