    Washington D.C.

  • Marvins singing career started in the choir at
    the church where his father was a minister.

  • To his fathers dismay, he left the choir in 1955
    to join a group called the Rainbows.

  • In 1958, he joined the Moonglows

    Gordy at Motown records
