success of players in the big game of NFL. He

college that really matters, it is what you do
with the talent that you were given.
4
For many high school players, the dream of
earning a college scholarship to a major program
validates their athletic progress but this is not
the reality. High school recruiting publications
create mythical champions for the annual
recruiting process and a four or five start blue
chip athlete does not necessarily translate into
a future pro-bowler, an collegiate All American
or even a collegiate starter.
5
Colin Kaepernick is today a bonafide NFL star
with the tall rangy quarterback's arm strength
and foot speed. His success was clearly seen in
the 2012 football season. While in the year
2006, he was a two star ranked athlete and the
67th ranked quarterback in his class by a
prominent recruiting publication. He was ranked
way behind such notables as future NFL starters
Jake Locker and Josh Freeman.
