Title: Raise Them Up In The Nurture And Admonition Of The Lord

1
Raise Them Up In The NurtureAnd Admonition Of
The Lord
  • Ephesians 64 Fathers, do not provoke your
children to anger, but bring them up in the
discipline and instruction of the Lord.

2
Raise Them Up In The NurtureAnd Admonition Of
The Lord
  • Proverbs 2215 Foolishness is bound up in the
heart of a child the rod of discipline will
    remove it far from him.
  • Proverbs 1324 He who withholds his rod hates
his son, but he who loves him disciplines him
    diligently.

3
Raise Them Up In The NurtureAnd Admonition Of
The Lord
  • Proverbs 2313-14 Do not hold back discipline
from the child, although you strike him with the
rod, he will not die. You shall strike him with
the rod and rescue his soul from Sheol.

Raise Them Up In The NurtureAnd Admonition Of
The Lord

is hope, and do not desire his death.

    shame to his mother.

  • Read the Bible and pray together
  • Discipline in love

6
How To Raise A Delinquent
  • Begin at infancy to give the child everything he
wants. In this way he will grow up to believe the
    world owes him a living.
  • When he picks up bad words, laugh at him. This
will make him think he's cute.
  • Never give him any spiritual training. Wait until
he is 21 and then let him "decide for himself".

7
How To Raise A Delinquent
  • Pick up everything he leaves lying round -books,
shoes, clothes. Do everything for him so that he
will be experienced in throwing all
    responsibility on others.
  • Quarrel frequently in his presence. In this way
he will not be too shocked when the home is
    broken later.
  • Give a child all the spending money he wants.
Never let him earn his own. Why should he have
things as tough as you had them?

8
How To Raise A Delinquent
  • Satisfy his every craving for food, drink and
comfort. Denial may lead to harmful frustrations.
  • Take his part against neighbors, teachers,
policemen. They are all prejudiced against your
    child.
  • When he gets into real trouble, apologize for
yourself by saying, "I never could do anything
    with him".
  • Prepare for a life of grief. You are bound to
    have it.

9
From Childhood You Have Known The Sacred
Scriptures
  • 2 Timothy 314-15 You, however, continue in the
things you have learned and become convinced of,
knowing from whom you have learned them, and that
from childhood you have known the sacred
scriptures which are able to give you the wisdom
that leads to salvation through faith which is in
    Christ Jesus.

10
From Childhood You Have Known The Sacred
Scriptures
  • 2 Timothy 15 For I am mindful of the sincere
faith within you, which first dwelt in your
grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am
sure that it is in you as well.

11
From Childhood You Have Known The Sacred
Scriptures
  • Deuteronomy 66-9

    shall be on your heart.
  • You shall teach them diligently to your sons and
shall talk of them when you sit in your house and
when you walk by the way and when you lie down
    and when you rise up.
  • You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and
they shall be as frontals on your forehead.
  • You shall write them on the doorposts of your
    house and on your gates.

12

knowing that your children's souls (even your

    for their lullabies.
  • Before they can talk, show them God's creation
whenever you are out See the trees that God
    made.
  • Speak of God daily, thank Him and give Him the
    credit for all daily blessings.

there and tell them what you are doing.

the refrigerator so they can place their own
stickers as they reflect these traits during the
    day.

  • Use Bible quotes as part of everyday speech Be
ye kind, Honor father and mother, Do all
things without grumbling, Treat others the way

    forgiven.

17
From Childhood You Have Known The Sacred
Scriptures
  • Let them suffer the consequences of their poor
choices (this is also a spiritual lesson).
  • Honor each others ROLE in front of the children.
  • Verbally uphold the leadership of the church
    (teachers, preachers, elders).
  • Love them by giving them what they NEED, not what
    they want.
  • NEVER allow evil companionship in any way at
    any age.

    easy way out.
  • ALWAYS try to replace a NO with an alternative

From Childhood You Have Known The Sacred
Scriptures
  • Give them opportunities to be a part of spiritual
discussions in your home with other Christians.

study and come to spiritual conclusions on their
