The National Problem
  • 1,700 college students die from alcohol-related
    causes, and 1,100 of these deaths involve
    drinking and driving.
  • 599,000 students suffer nonfatal injuries
  • 696,000 assaults due to alcohol
  • 400,000 students have unprotected sex.
  • More than 100,000 students are too intoxicated to
    know whether they consented to sexual intercourse

  • 1.21.5 percent of students attempt suicide
    because of alcohol or other drug use.
  • More than 150,000 students develop a health
    problem related to alcohol.
  • 11 percent of students damage property
  • 2.1 million students drive while under the
    influence of alcohol.

  • If you are not 21 years of age, drinking is
    illegal
  • Dont drink and drive
  • Inappropriate behavior due to alcohol
  • Distribution is strictly prohibited
  • Rapid consumption (abusive drinking) is strictly
    prohibited

  • Developed to protect and educate
  • Five students have been suspended since November
    1, 2006 for two strikes.

  • 1st Strike Probation for 2 semesters,
    education, community service.
  • 2nd Strike A semester off from the university
